Eiffel Tower in Heavy Color
To create this image, I began with a digital photograph of the Eiffel Tower in Paris (not the same ones I have in my Photo Gallery), taken in the late afternoon on a hazy day from the rue de la Manutention. I pulled the buildings and structures in the foreground out of the shadows, and darkened the hazy image of the Eiffel Tower itself. I then pushed color saturation to the limit, and posterized the result to sixteen levels. I then applied an impressionistic filter, added a black border and drop shadow, and overlaid my signature in red (it is barely visible in this reduced version). If Leroy Neiman had been a contemporary of Monet, perhaps he might have produced something like this, eh?
