Previous-Generation Sanisette

Color photograph of the exterior of an enclosed, automated restroom on a city sidewalk

This Sanisette is of the generation previous to the current one (see my other photograph for more information). This one has fewer windows, a more primitive toilet seat, no soap dispenser, and no automatic control of the water and hot-air dryer in the lavatory (faucet). This generation was originally equipped to play music while in use, but that feature has now been disabled.

This Sanisette is on the rue du Louvre, near the Bourse de Commerce. There are hundreds of others like it in Paris, although they are gradually being replaced with the newer models.
