“Suicide” Bridge at Buttes-Chaumont Park

This small footbridge in the Buttes-Chaumont park in Paris is nicknamed the pont des suicidés (“suicide bridge”) because so many people have jumped off the bridge in an attempt to kill themselves. The attempts are generally successful, since the bridge is about 15 stories above the lake below.
