TGV Paris Sud-Est

Color photograph of first-generation TGV train at the platform
text description

This is a TGV Paris Sud-Est trainset at the Gare de Lyon railway station in Paris. This is the first generation of TGV, placed into service around 1980; it is still in use in daily service to Lyons and other cities.

The blue-and-silver TGV PSE behind the one in the foreground has been refurbished, which is why it is painted in different colors. It should not be confused with the second-generation TGV Atlantique.
