Description: A massive, grayish-white arch dominates this afternoon photograph. The arch is squarish on the outside, with a semicircular vault on the inside. The side we see is in sunlight. Gigantic relief sculptures dominate each of the two pillars of the arch. Behind the arch we see low buildings of a few stories, and it is clear that the arch occupies a large, circular open space upon which many avenues converge. Red and gray cobblestones alternate in the pavement of the roundabout, marking the points of the compass. Cars circle the arch on the roundabout that surrounds it.
