Rotunda of the Parc Monceau

       MonceauRotunda

The main north entrance pf the Parc Monceau features this large rotunda, seen here from inside the park. It dates from 1787, and was originally part of a wall separating Paris from what were then suburbs. The wall served mainly for administering taxes and tolls rather than military protection.
