Rue du Temple (pedestrian portion)

     RueDuTemple

Thisis a pedestrian section of the rue du Temple, in the Marais. It was converted not too long ago, as part of the current city government's efforts to discourage cars inside the city. Since there's no vehicular traffic, it's fairly quiet—quiet enough to allow the busker on the right to be heard playing the violin, which would be a challenge with cars whizzing by.

Unfortunately, the rest of the street is still dominated by cars.
