Notre-Dame Cathedral at NightNotre-Dame Cathedral at Night Description: Beneath a nearly cloudless, deep blue sky just after sunset, we see a large, ornate cathedral of carved, cream-colored limestone, lit by floodlights from the left of the photo, and perched on an island next to a narrow, well-tamed river channel filled with almost mirror-like water flowing lazily along on the left side of the image. The cathedral, partially hidden by large trees, features a steep lead roof, a very tall central spire, delicate flying buttresses rising from the ground to the sides of the edifice, a massive rose window at the midpoint of the structure, and twin bell towers with flat tops at the end of the cathedral furthest from the camera. Greenery seems to drip from the edge of the island over a low wall and down towards the water of the river channel. Technical Details:
