Notre-Dame Cathedral from the East

Notre-Dame Cathedral from the East

Beneath a clear, almost cloudless blue sky, not long before sunset, we see a large, ornate cathedral of carved, cream-colored limestone in the distance, on an island between two branches of a river that merge in the foreground. On the left, in shadow, on one shore of the river, is a large park-like area, paved in smooth granite. On the right, in bright sunlight, are old residential buildings on another island. An excursion boat moves through the river in the foreground.

Technical details: Leica M6 TTL + Summicron-M 1:2/35 ASPH, about 1/250 at f/8, Fuji Provia color reversal film (ISO 100), handheld, cropped and color-adjusted in Photoshop
