Place des VosgesPlace des Vosges Description: In this afternoon photograph, looking northeast, we see a large public square with large leafy trees in its center, surrounded by a continuous line of reddish gray-roofed buildings of similar architecture on all four sides. There is a fountain near the foreground and the square is filled with people walking, sitting, reading, or resting. The sky is virtually cloudless and of a dark blue. The sun is behind us and the picture is taken from beneath the shade of trees running around the inner perimeter of the square.
