Porte Lescot at Forum des Halles

       PorteLescot

The underground shopping center and Métro station at the Forum des Halles have several entrances, but this one, opening onto the pedestrian rue Lescot, is probably the busiest one.

You are looking west in this photo. Just left of the carrousel behind this building is the spot from which I took my other picture of the Forum. Most of the streets in this area are for pedestrians only.

This part of Paris gets a bit sketchy after midnight and even has some shady denizens during the day, although I would not call it dangerous.

Photographed on June 13, 2026.
