This is the westbound entrance to the tunnel beneath the the Place de l’Alma. This is the entrance through which Diana’s car
passed. The Eiffel Tower is to the left, just outside the frame of this photograph.
Within the tunnel, the fatal pillar—the thirteenth—is just barely visible.
