This is a small part of the Jardin des Halles (Halles Garden), a park that covers most of the area formerly occupied by the Parisian food market several decades ago. (The markets are now in the suburb of Rungis). This photograph was taken just west of the Forum des Halles shopping center, visible in the background. The sagging room is designed that way; it is not a structural failure. You are looking southeast in this photo, taken from near the midpoint of the gardens. Photographed on June 13, 2026. |
