Palais-RoyalPalaisRoyal This is the Palaius-Royal, just north of the Louvre. The complex is chock full of history and important institutions. It is home to the Ministry of Culture, the Conseil Constitutionnel, and the Conseil d’État (visible here)—the latter two are vaguely similar to the US Supreme Court. It is also contains the Comédie Française and the Théâtre du Palais-Royal. There's a big garden in a courtyard inside the palace. In the arcades arund the garden, there are lots of quirky shops. A famous restaurant, Le Grand Véfour, is at the northern end of he complex. Undated photograph. |
