Passage ChoiseulPassageChoiseul This is the Passage Choiseul, a covered shopping gallery built in 1827, in the Grands Boulevards neighborhood of Paris, which has many such galleries. Not so long ago, this gallery had very much fallen into decline, but in recent years it has perked up and is nice again. It’s not far from the more famous Galerie Vivienne, Passage Jouffroy, and Passage des Panoramas. This gallery features a great many restaurants, perhaps because of the many business offices in this area. These galleries often contain odd little shops—maybe the rent is lower in this sort of gallery, although I rather dubt that rents are ever low anywhere in Paris. Photographed on February 20, 2026. |
