In this photograph, you can see the relationship of the underpass at the Place de l’Alma to the Eiffel Tower. The westbound
entrance to the tunnel is off to the right; it appears more distant than it really is because of the very wide angle of this photograph.
The Eiffel Tower is about 860
metres away. It’s a hundred stories high, so it’s still easy to see from here, even in this wide-angle shot.
