Westbound Portal to the Tunnel Beneath the Place de l'Alma

This is the westbound entrance to the tunnel beneath the the Place de l’Alma. This is the entrance through which Diana’s car passed. The Eiffel Tower is to the left, just outside the frame of this photograph.

Within the tunnel, the fatal pillar—the thirteenth—is just barely visible. I overexposed this photograph so that you can see the interior of the tunnel better.
